I turned 35 on June 16th. Yep, getting up there. I’m always shocked at how fast time goes by. Our three kiddos have birthdays in May, June and July so as I’m getting older I’m also celebrating their birthdays at the same time. It’s like I’m watching them grow up before my eyes. Even when I look back at some of the first Nerd Show episodes I notice how much Abrie has grown. This month also marks my 9th year as a full-time realtor and you’re reading the 51st monthly edition of the Genius Homeowners newsletter. I’m so thankful to be able to spend a lot of time with my family, to work hard and to have someone like you who cares enough to spend a few minutes each month reading and sharing my articles and videos. It means so much to me.
Real estate is something I’ve liked since I was 22 but after 9 years of helping people make important decisions, I’ve developed a love for it. However, building my business to where I’m able to make a living and support my family didn’t come easily for me. It took every bit of 5 years to figure out “who I am” as a realtor and how to carve out my place in this industry. It’s emails like this one that remind me how important it is to keep going, even when I don’t hear from anyone for a while:
“My mailbox is constantly inundated with realtors ‘junk mail’ which goes in the garbage without a moment’s hesitation. I learned about you from a neighbor and I just wanted to let you know that I am really impressed with your newsletter and that your efforts are not going unnoticed! There’s an obvious effort put forth that I believe is also put forth when working with a customer.” — Dave H.
